Be my Valentine: cards, gifts, and freebies

Offers in ,

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. Maybe it’s my love of chocolate that puts it in my top 5 category.

Buying Valentine cards can get pricy if you have a lot of people, or kids, to buy for. Take advantage of some of the offers to get those costs under control.  Today I got an adorable personalized mug for only $1. I also got several Valentine’s cards for free.

Below are a few of my favorite offers for Valentine’s Day.

Vistaprint: Head over to Vistaprint to get 10 FREE Valentine’s Day Note Cards. There are so many cute designs to choose from. The cards are free but you will have to pay around $5 for shipping and processing.

York Photo$20 Fleece Blanket, plus 40 free prints. I’m not so sure about this one, but I know it’s the perfect gift for someone out there!

York Photo: $2 Grocery Tote, plus 40 free prints. The grandparents are going to love their new re-usable shopping bags!

Canvas People: A personalized phone case is an awesome gift idea but can be pricey. Canvas People has a great offer. You can get a personalized case for as low as $29.95 with free shipping.

Valentine’s Crayon Hearts: This is one of the best DIY projects I did with my daughter. It was so easy and fun. I used the Wilton’s Heart Mold for the project. The heart mold is on sale at Amazon right now. Perfect timing.

What do you think? Is Valentine’s Day a favorite or a foe? Make some hearts, eat some chocolate, and spread the love!

Hello… anyone out there?

Misc

It’s been just over a year since I hung up my frugal hat. We posted a few things around Christmas. But for the most part, this site has been collecting dust. I’ve seen so many great deals that I’ve wanted to share, but I just haven’t had much time.

I think I finally set up a good routine here at home, and I may be able to post here at Frugal Day on a limited frequency. My oldest daughter is in school four days a week, and my baby is finally starting to take a nap now and then. I won’t be posting every day, just a couple days a week, and only really good deals.

So, if you’re still here… I’ll be seeing you soon!

Black Friday pricing for Keurig coffee systems

Offers in ,

As I noted previously, we love our Keurig coffee system. My mom got it for us for Christmas a couple years ago, and it is, hands-down, our most used kitchen gift ever. It is SO convenient and easy to drop a new K-Cup into the brewer and push a button. A minute later, a perfect cup of hot coffee awaits! We also love the large range of brands and flavors that are available in the K-Cup system now. continued

Disneyland on a budget

Misc in

I originally wrote this post for my site, No Thank You Please but thought the content was appropriate for my frugal readers as well…

I went to Disneyland a few times as a kid. When I was in college in San Diego, I went to Disneyland a few more times. Now that my husband and I have children, we’ve been going to Disneyland as a family more often. Our older daughter is almost four, and she’s been to Disney at least five times. Our little one is only 3 months old, and we’ve already been with her as well. We have a blast each time. Our first daughter, Emma, experienced her first visit to Disneyland (as a non-infant) when she was 15 months old. We love that we are able to experience the fun as a family. continued

The Hunger Games: Free iTunes Download with ticket purchase

Since being on bed rest I’ve done a lot of reading. I’ve been pretty open to just about anything. When a friend suggested The Hunger Games trilogy, I wasn’t too interested since it wasn’t my type of book. Well, I loved them. I’m really hoping I get to see the movie before the baby comes!

Are you planning on seeing the movie? If so, Fandango is offering a FREE iTunes download with the advance purchase of The Hunger Games tickets. This offer is good until March 14th so make sure you grab your tickets before then to get the free download.
