Safeway Open Nature Giveaway: $50 Gift Card Plus Open Nature Goodie Bag!

Last weekend I was lucky enough to participate in The World’s Largest Picnic Table sponsored by Safeway. If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen my tweets throughout the day. It was a really great event. I got to meet up with Julia from The Frugal Find, hang out with my family, and meet Tyler Florence from Food Network! More importantly, Safeway was introducing us to Open Nature.

Open Nature is a new product line offering natural ingredients. No artificial colors or unpronounceable ingredients. I’m really excited about it. Sometimes buying organics can be expensive. This new line will have a lower price point, but you still get natural ingredients. Nancy Cota, the VP of Innovation and New Product Development, and Jim Seiple, VP of Research & Development, spent time with us explaining what 100% natural means to Safeway. Each product has the ingredients listed on the front of the packaging. You won’t have to search for them or need a dictionary to know what you’ll be eating!

We were so lucky to get to try a lot of these products at the picnic. Our lunch was made with many of these products. Did I tell you it was amazing? It really was.

Safeway would like you to try it as well. Frugal Day and Safeway will be giving two lucky readers an Open Nature gift bag and $50 to spend at Safeway. The freezer proof gift bag has their yummy Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing, and a bag of their awesome granola for you to try. The gift card will allow you to try Open Nature and tell us what you think!

I shop at Safeway for my grocery needs. I haven’t seen Open Nature yet in the stores but I’m not really sure what different kinds of food Open Nature will be about. My daughter and I do eat granola bars for snack time or on traveling trips.
